Celebrating The Wins

Let’s face it – being a wife is a HUGE responsibility and sometimes it literally feels like the weight of the word is on our shoulders.  Last week Kim wrote about the importance of maintaining a balance in our lives and a simple way to do so is to always make time to…

Win (verb) – be successful or victorious.

What have you been successful in? If you can’t think of something off the top of your head, try to narrow it down to the smaller wins in life.  Did you try a new recipe and it was a success with the family? Were you able to finally get out the house and get some you time? Or did you keep your cool in a disagreement with someone else when it would’ve been easier for you to tell them off? Whatever it is, acknowledge it and give yourself a pat on the back for it!

With that being said – I have a Wife Win (#WW) that I want to share with you!

Last week the carb for EVERY meal that hubby took to work was brown rice.  While this is definitely on the healthy side, I was getting sick of making it and wanted to send him to work with some variety BUT we hadn’t gone grocery shopping so our options were pretty limited.  So what did I do? I whipped up a side that was super easy and simple using the random ingredients around the kitchen and made a really delicious pasta dish coated with an olive oil based sauce with tons of veggies (thanks to the frozen veggies I had sitting in the freezer).  This may not seem like a big deal but I felt SOOOO accomplished having been able to make something different for my husband.

What was YOUR #WW for the week?? Share your story with us in the comments section!
