Just Gotta Be Real!

Hello EveryOne!!!

I do pray that you all are blessed as you continue to express gratitude towards your spouses on a daily basis.

I have been thinking about a lot of things lately….

You ever feel like you are so busy that your whole life seems to be passing you by? I’m a very busy lady, between being a wife, mom, full time employee, and full time graduate school student (just to name a few), I could be pulling my natural coils out lol (ahhhhhhh). I’m sure that many of you can relate. Most of the time I’m praying that I can add more time to my day or I’m just grateful to have made it through.

If you watched our latest video, you’ve heard that I lost my dad this year. It’s so crazy how death can really cause you to stop, reflect and put things in perspective.

When you wear so many hats, the pressure can really build and the burden can get pretty heavy. I am for the most part considered “superwoman” but honestly ladies sometimes I wish that wasn’t my trademark because when I can’t come through or when i’m overwhelmed…. I feel WEAK :(. The weakness unfortunately then leads me to lose confidence in my ability to “perform” in all the crucial roles that I play.

It’s definitely an uphill battle but I just wanted to share that with you because life can be super overwhelming and I know that I’m not alone.

I’m learning to pace myself! I’m learning to stop and smell the flowers. These past few months have been quite the challenge. It seems that since my dad passed, I have had trial after trial BUT I have decided to DANCE instead of allowing myself to drown in insecurity, self doubt and my weakness!!!!!

One of my favorite personal destressor/ rejuvenator/ jump starter involves a 30 second dance party ( thank you Grey’s Anatomy!!!). Yes ladies!!! I let the music play and then I just rock it out for 30 seconds!!! I know it sounds silly but you know what? We need to loosen up! Life is not fun when we’re always so serious and uptight. I ALWAYS feel amazing after those 30 seconds.

After my dance party, reading the WORD and  prayer, the Lord always ENCOURAGES me and I want to just pass on the goodness!

“Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.”

-2 Corinthians 12:9, New Living Translation

Didn’t that speak VOLUMES all by itself?!!!!

If you are struggling with feelings of weakness, insecurities or self doubt I want to encourage you to begin to see yourself the way God sees you.

You are beautiful.

You are intelligent.

You are kind.

You are important.

You are needed.

You are enough.

You are worthy.

Think on these things! Embrace these things!

Until next time!
