I met Fabienne many years ago and she is one of the most friendly, loving, and genuine women I know. When I was pregnant with Nicholas she popped into my inbox so lovingly giving me tips on what to care for my body and gave herself to me as an open book just to ensure that my pregnancy went well, because she knows how much pregnancy is linked to nutrition.
As you read her story and testimony, I hope that you are all encouraged but specifically women who want to get pregnant, who may have had issues getting pregnant, or who are older and are worried that you’ll have a failed pregnancy.

Love God, love people, and enjoy good food is my motto. As a nutritionist, I understand that our bodies need specific food in order to thrive, not just survive. In marriage, this understanding becomes even more significant because you have to think about the health of not one person but the whole family. Nutrition is defined as the process of eating the right kind of food so you can grow properly and be healthy. It is evident to note how healthy eating can play such a big role in marriage, from raising healthy children, having a strong husband and keeping the energy high to handle it all.
Before I got married, I was inspired to do a fast that changed my life forever. I had just graduated from NYU with a MS in nutrition and dietetics and wanted to lose about 15 pounds. But somehow, after 6 months, my body wouldn’t let go of those extra 5 pounds. I started this fast led by God that consisted of mostly fruits and vegetables. In one month, I went from a size 4 to almost a size zero. This fast not only recharged my immune system but also became one of the pillars of health for me to prepare for childbearing.
The greatest impact that nutrition had in my marriage is in the area of childbearing. In my sixth month of marriage, I did a fast inspired by God (mostly fruits and vegetables) and within one month, I was pregnant. I am bringing this to light because I had my first child at almost 40 years of age and had my second child one month shy of being 43. The medical world did not fail to remind me of my age. Since I was labeled as AMA (advanced maternal age), my medical chances of having a child with Down Syndrome or miscarriage especially for my second pregnancy had increased. During my first pregnancy God gave me specific instructions on how to prepare for the next pregnancy. I had both of my children naturally with no complication during either pregnancies. I barely gained twenty pounds and craved mostly vegetables and fruits. God has an intended purpose for our future and specific food for us to nourish our body. In Genesis1:29 (AMP) So God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of the entire earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you”.
Nutrition is important to our health because God has given us our body and it is our duty to take care of it well. One of my greatest passions in life is to help improve women chances of getting pregnant, prepare for a healthy pregnancy and have healthy eating habits that would cause them to thrive and carry out their God given purpose.
Isn’t Fabienne’s testimony amazing?? Despite the doctor’s concerns, because she was intentional about her nutrition AND being obedient to God, she was blessed to have not one, but TWO successful pregnancies!
